{"id":1686,"date":"2019-08-21T16:35:34","date_gmt":"2019-08-21T16:35:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wensmedia.com\/ens-on-sales\/?p=1686"},"modified":"2019-08-21T16:35:34","modified_gmt":"2019-08-21T16:35:34","slug":"they-indeed-get-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ensmediausa.com\/ens-on-sales\/uncategorized\/they-indeed-get-it\/","title":{"rendered":"They \u201cIndeed\u201d Get It!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>If you missed it, Radio INK\u2019s Radio Headlines reported that the mammoth online job site\u00a0Indeed\u00a0was radio\u2019s largest advertiser for the week of August 5<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Why does\u00a0Indeed\u00a0have so much faith in radio?\u00a0I will suggest it\u2019s for two reasons: 1) because it works and 2) because they have to.\u00a0They have to?\u00a0I\u2019ll explain later.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Gallup, along with other polling companies, suggests that somewhere between 50-71% of the population would consider a new job if one was presented to them, and between 40-50% are actively searching for a new job or career.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Regardless of what part of the country you live in, if you ask a business owner today what the biggest challenge of running a business is, they will tell you, \u201cfinding good employees\u201d.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Finding applicants isn\u2019t necessarily the problem but finding \u201cgood applicants\u201d can be!\u00a010-plus years ago, this wasn\u2019t the case.\u00a0If you needed to add an employee, you simply ran a help-wanted ad in the classifieds and BOOM, you had more than enough qualified candidates.\u00a0That quickly changed. Today, the classifieds are a ghost-town.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>The current \u201cgo-to\u201d source for employment is online job posting websites likeIndeed,\u00a0ZipRecruiter,\u00a0Monster,\u00a0CareerBuilder,\u00a0Glassdoor, and many others.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Do they work?\u00a0They certainly work better than the classifieds. The problem with job boards is that they primarily reach people that are actively looking.\u00a0They are the \u201cjob hoppers\u201d, and one can assume\u00a0not\u00a0as desirable of a candidate.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Radio has several strengths when it comes to recruitment.\u00a0One is that it reaches the \u201cpassive job seeker\u201d, the person not actively looking but would consider a different opportunity if presented with one.\u00a0Another is that radio reaches their \u201ccenter of influence\u201d;\u00a0the husband, wife, mom, dad, brother, sister, friend, or co-worker that knows they are potentially looking for a different opportunity.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>So why does\u00a0Indeed\u00a0\u201chave to use radio\u201d?\u00a0\u201cHave to\u201d is probably too strong of a statement, but they\u00a0need to\u00a0in order to reach the more attractive \u201cpassive job seeker\u201d.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>There are several key elements to selling and creating successful recruitment advertising.
