{"id":1723,"date":"2019-11-21T14:48:05","date_gmt":"2019-11-21T14:48:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ensmediausa.com\/ens-on-sales\/?p=1723"},"modified":"2019-11-21T14:48:05","modified_gmt":"2019-11-21T14:48:05","slug":"write-em-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ensmediausa.com\/ens-on-sales\/uncategorized\/write-em-down\/","title":{"rendered":"Write &#8217;em Down"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">It\u2019s that time of year.\u00a0Time for setting budgets and goals for 2020.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Let\u2019s start with the difference between budgets and goals.\u00a0Budgets are what you think you will do for sales in 2020.\u00a0Goals are what you want.\u00a0There\u2019s a huge difference between what you\u00a0think\u00a0and what you\u00a0want!<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>The budgeting process is fairly easy.\u00a0You did this much last year, and you plan on or think you can do this much next year.\u00a0OK, there\u2019s a little more to it than that, but in a nutshell, that is budgeting.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Goal setting should be much more in-depth on a professional AND personal level.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Setting goals is the time when you reflect on what you accomplished last year and what you\u00a0want\u00a0to accomplish next year.\u00a0Goals are more than just your sales and money.\u00a0Equally important, or even more so, goals should be about what you want and how you will grow professionally, and what you want personally for yourself and your family.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Goals are the fuel for your fire!<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>While statistics vary, most professionals agree that by committing your goals to paper, you increase your chances of reaching them by 42%.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Here are some things to include in your goal-setting process:<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0List 5 new clients you want to have on the air by July 1st\u00a0(the number of accounts\/clients can vary)<\/h4>\n<h4>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0List 10 clients that you want to increase in 2020 by July 1<sup>st<\/sup><\/h4>\n<h4>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0List 10 clients that you want to add\/upsell, i.e. add a station, add digital, add streaming, etc.<\/h4>\n<h4>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0List 5 things you accomplished in 2019 that you are most proud of<\/h4>\n<h4>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0List 5 areas of the sales process you need to improve on in 2020, i.e. prospecting, upselling, CNAs, etc.<\/h4>\n<h4>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0List 5 things you will do to help improve yourself,\u00a0i.e. read books, attend seminars, be more organized, become healthier, affirmations, etc.<\/h4>\n<h4>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0List 5 things you want to accomplish for your family in 2020, i.e. new home, car, vacation, savings account, reduce debt, motorcycle, healthier lifestyle, etc.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>By consciously thinking about what you want to achieve and then writing it down, you will be on the path to achieving your goals.<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>Many people have been quoted as saying, \u201cGoals not written down are just dreams\u201d.\u00a0While there is nothing wrong with dreaming, you\u2019re much more likely to fulfill your\u00a0goals\u00a0than you are your\u00a0dreams!<\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>What do YOU want in 2020?\u00a0Write &#8217;em down!!<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s that time of year.\u00a0Time for setting budgets and goals for 2020.
